Luka Expandable Laptop Tote

I’ve used this tote about a dozen times for travel that required flying. Its so cute and comfortable on the shoulder, easy to use luggage sleeve, great pocket options and fits comfortably under an airplane seat. It’s a good bag to travel with with the following caveats: the expanding bottom is extremely useful, but the laptop sleeve doesn’t extend all the way to the bottom when the extended bottom is in use. so the weight of the laptop in the sleeve weighs the sleeve down and smushes the bag down on one side when fully extended. If there’s something in the laptop sleeve it also makes it hard to get to anything in the bottom when fully extended. The laptop sleeve strap is also too long if you just have a laptop in it so it flops around a bit, and the Velcro on it hasn’t lasted me. On the other side there are open pockets with no real closure that are big enough to accommodate a lot of things but when I’m putting anything in the bag I consistently get it caught on the lip of the pocket and everything falls out. The mouth of the pockets are just unnecessarily big and the lip is too loose. These pockets also don’t extend to the bottom when extended so if you have anything in those and in the sleeve on the other side the top of the bag collapses with the weight when fully extended. So I generally avoid using the bag extension whenever possible.

I started a fully in-person job a year ago and this bag looks brand new still. I bring a 13" laptop, a notebook, a 1" binder, a lunch box, a sweater, all of my little items, and I STILL have room to add more. And I don't even have to use the expandable bottom to haul my life around. There is ZERO wear and tear on it (including the bottom). And I'm rough on bags. While I love everything about this bag, the only critique I have is that the Velcro for the laptop compartment doesn't stay shut. And the one strap always slips off my shoulder, but that might just be a me thing.
